If you are a full-time farmer with years of hard work behind you but still lack the financial tools to truly scale, Agri Seed Capital was built for you. Agri Seed Capital is a Micro Finance Institution (MFI) that exists to address the problem of financial inclusion affecting subsistence and small-scale farmers. Furthermore, it goes beyond lending, wrapping finance within a structured, three-year incubation framework designed to transform dedicated farmers into bankable, commercially sustainable agribusinesses. What the Programme Offers
The Agri Seed Capital three-year incubation programme aims to establish a pipeline of future finance-ready farmers. Support covers three core areas: International Fund for Agricultural Development
Production Credit Access — Structured credit aligned to your actual production cycle, ensuring funds are available when planting decisions must be made, not months too late.
Business Development Support — Targeted guidance that strengthens how you plan, manage, and grow your enterprise. Moreover, this builds the documented business management track record that opens doors to larger commercial finance in the future.
Crop Insurance Solutions — Protection against the weather events, pest pressures, and market disruptions that can otherwise devastate a season’s work.

Who Should Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must be:
- Full-time farmers whose primary commitment is agricultural production
- Holders of a minimum of three years of verifiable production history
- Committed to building a sustainable, bankable farming enterprise
Grain and oilseed producers are particularly prioritised. However, farmers producing in other crop categories who meet the core criteria are therefore encouraged to engage with the Agri Seed Capital team directly.
Why This Matters
Access to structured finance remains one of the most stubborn barriers to smallholder productivity across Africa. By creating a pipeline of finance-ready farmers, Agri Seed Capital is consequently building the foundation for a new generation of commercially viable farming enterprises that can attract further investment, create jobs, and contribute meaningfully to food security and rural economic development.
